Greetings Brother Knights and Family;

A belated Happy Easter to all Knights and their families;

It seemed like Lent was about one fish fry longer this year.  I trust you all had a wonderful Easter and celebrated the Risen Christ  It was wonderful to celebrate in our new worship area and not have to set up chairs all the way out to the parking lot like we had to do in the old area.

Thanks to ALL who participated in the (7) Friday Fish Fries.  With as many as 450 people attending, the meals were a great success.  Thanks to all the spouses who baked desserts and worked so hard serving and hosting with our Knights, thanks also to the young people who helped.  Without the effort of everyone we could not have done so well.  We should get results of the profits made at our council meeting on Saturday, April 24th so be sure and come.

Congratulations to Ray Cronin, our Knight of the Year and to Kathy and Ron Wicht our Family of the year.  Our Awards dinner was the best ever with Todd Nelson as MC and The Everblest Choir singing.  Jackie and her Girl Scout helpers did a wonderful job of decorating and serving our wonderful meal.

Father Ollie needs help at the Listening House with some outside staining and miscellaneous work.  If you have any time available, please contact him or myself, for a rewarding afternoon of volunteer work

            Please set aside Saturday morning, April 24th for the spring highway pick-up.  We need lots of people to make this a quick and painless way to show the community that we are a dedicated group.  The pickup will start around 9AM following an abbreviated council meeting that starts at 8 AM.  Tell your confirmation students that this will count toward their service hours.

 Our Tootsie Roll Drive is also this month.  Contact Kent Larson (763-444-5591) to volunteer for this.  Last year we didn't get out to all of the places we should have, so let's try hard this year to get your TOOTSIE's out!

May is Rosary Month.  The Crowning of Mary is scheduled after 6 PM Mass on May 1st.  All 3rd and 4th degree members are encouraged to participate.

May 2nd, following the 8:30 & 10:30 Masses we will have our spring Pancake breakfast.  Bring your experienced bodies to help serve our parishioners and promote the order to prospective new Knights.

Lastly, Sunday April 18th from 1 - 3 PM we will have an Adult CPR course available.  Please contact Terry Iverson to sign up for this.  You never know when it may be needed!

Remember we still have Comfort Bears from the SAM (Stuffed Animal Ministry) so remember to offer them to organizations or groups that serve the needy and hurting.

OK, I didn't forget an Ole & Lena joke so here it is; Ole had the misfortune of having his car stolen from right in front of his house.  He chased the escaping car thief for three blocks until he ran out of breath.  Upon reporting the theft to the police, the officer asked Ole if he could identify the thief.  "No," said Ole, "but I got the license number."

See you at the council meeting/highway pickup!
