Greetings Brother Knights and Family;

We are within two weeks of Christ’s birth and if you are like me you still have a lot to do in preparation.  I’m excited about the upcoming Blind Auction – our council’s Christmas Party!  We are all getting together at Wintergreen’s in Isanti to have dinner and auction off mystery gifts to raise money for charity.  The party is always fun and I look forward to seeing you there.

Our first pancake breakfast with Santa was a success!  Santa came by to give all the children a nice gift and he posed for pictures that the Knight’s embossed on buttons that are pinned to your clothing.  Everyone had a good time and there was plenty of help during and after the two masses.  Thanks to you all!

Enclosed with your newsletter should be raffle tickets for the upcoming Fishing Contest on January 23, 2005.  We are asking every Knight to buy or sell ten tickets for the raffle to help make our annual Fishing Contest a success.  Be sure to invite friends, neighbors and relatives to this fun family event.  As in the past we will be on Green Lake which is located on Highway 47 and 95 just West of Cambridge.  Starting time is 1:00 pm and we should be done by 3:00 p.m.  This year’s prizes are a Jiffy Stealth Power Ice Auger, a Marcom LX1 Performance Pack and a 3 Color Flasher.

Our next planning meeting is Thursday January 6, 2005.  The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the church social hall.  All Knights are welcome to attend.

The Memorial Mass was held on November 21st, we had a very good turnout of Knights for the choir.  I heard lots of compliments on the singing.  A sincere thank you goes out to those of you who participated.

Turkey Bingo was great.  We raised a considerable amount for charity and we had a good time doing it.  Mike Westhoff said everyone pitched in nicely to make the event successful.  29 turkeys were given as prizes along with lots of door prizes. We also had a first this year.  We ran out of Chili!

May you all have a Blessed Christmas season!

Yours in Christ,

Todd Nelson, Grand Knight

O Lutefisk… O Lutefisk.. how fragrant your aroma

O Lutefisk.. O Lutefisk… You put me in a coma.

You smell so strong.. you look like glue

You taste yust like an overshoe

But Lutefisk.. come Saturday

I tink I’ll eat you anyvay.

O Lutefisk.. O Lutefisk.. I put you by the door vay

I vanted you to ripen up.. yust like dey do in Norvay

A dog came by and sprinkled you.. I hit him vid an army shoe

O Lutefisk.. now I suppose

I’ll eat you as I hold my nose.

O Lutefisk.. O Lutefisk.. how vell I do remember

On Christmas eve how we’d receive.. our big treat of  December

It vasn’t turkey or fried ham.. it vasn’t even pickled spam

My mudder knew dere vas no risk..

In serving buttered Lutefisk.

O Lutefisk.. O Lutefisk.. now everyone discovers

Dat Lutefisk and lefse makes.. Norvegians better lovers

Now all da vorld can have a ball.. yo’re better dan dat Yeritol

O Lutefisk.. vid brennevin

You make me feel like Errol Flynn.

Merry Christmas from Ole and Lena
