Greetings Brother Knights and family;

 

With the warm weather it sure is great to get outside in the sunshine.  Who said anything about mid winter blues?  Friday night (February 11th) we held our first Lenten Fish Fry and it was a good one.  Well attended and there were lots of compliments on the Fish.  Everyone likes the recipe we use and people are starting to drive in from further away to eat our fish! Keep the “Word of Mouth going!”

 

We could use a little more help on the set up crew from 2-4:30 p.m. and on the clean up crew from 7:00 p.m. to closing.  We’ll be holding five more Fish Fries before Easter is upon us.  Thanks to all those Knights and the many spouses that joined in to help us.  More hands make for easier work.

 

On Sunday, January 23rd we held our Annual Fishing Contest.  The Fishing Contest was a major league success as we packed the ice with families and friends of all ages.  Scott Skalicky did a great job as our emcee and he gave away lots of door prizes.   The weather was really nice and we had plenty of help.  Everyone had a great time and lots of fun fishing, talking, and laughing.

 

As for our Free Throw Contest, Ray said everything went as planned.  This year we had 35 contestants in various age groups.  The winners went on to a competition at Braham where 1 of our kids will go on to the next level which will be held in Crosby-Ironton on February 27.  Thanks to Ray Cronin, Jon Gotfredson and Kent Larson for making the contest a success.

  

Our next regular meeting is Thursday, February 24th, 2005 at 7 p.m.  See you there.
