 Greetings Brother Knights and Family;

May is a beautiful month in Minnesota.  It’s my favorite time of the year.  A lot has happened since last month’s newsletter – so please read on and I’ll try to keep it succinct.

     To begin, we held the Crowning of Mary on Saturday, May 7th.  Attendance was excellent and 18 4th Degree Knights dressed in full regalia were there to help honor our Holy Mother.  Father held a very nice ceremony and Scott Skalicky did a great job holding his daughter Jenny up to Crown Mary.  The Rosary Shrine looks great now that the new columns are in place – thanks to Dennis Carpenter and his helpers!

      The Tootsie Roll Drive was held the last weekend in April.  We had a poor showing of Knights (less than 10%) and our collection showed it.  We only collected $617.  Our neighbors to the North however had over 75% of their Knights out and brought in over $3,000.   We just need to do a better job next year.

      This is a good time to pray for more participation from existing members and ask a fellow parishioner you know to consider joining us.  There are exemplifications year round and we’ll find the nearest one for our recruits to attend.

      Sandi and I along with Duane and Deb Hermanson will be going to Rochester for this years’ State Convention on May 20-22.  We plan to attend several functions and hope to bring back some council awards.  I’ll tell you all about it in the next newsletter.

     We are planning to finish the Church landscaping during the 2nd weekend in June.  We need your help!  Give some of your time and pitch in on this worthy project to enhance the beauty of our church.

      Looking ahead – our next regular meeting will be held in the Church Social Hall on Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 p.m.   June 3 is the Isanti Demo Derby contact Kent Larson 763-444-5591 for more info.

      Terry Iverson needs our help with the Safety Camp Ice Cream Social which will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 6 to 8 pm at the Cambridge Elementary School.  Please call Terry and let him know if you can help (763-444-7103).  The Safety Camp itself is Tuesday and Wednesday June 21st and 22nd for more information see the Cambridge Community Ed Bulletin or call 763-689-6189 for details.  The class is limited to 4th and 5th graders only.  http://www.cambridge.k12.mn.us/~comm-ed/

      Start thinking about gearing up for Rodeo Days coming soon -- July 7-8-9.   The KC float needs to be in the Parade (Thursday, July 7) and we are looking for interested party/parties to build and participate in the “Outhouse Races” (Sunday, July 10).  The $300.00 cash prize usually draws some stiff competition.

      I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
